Home Alone

19 January 2007, Friday

Dunno why, I seem to be so busy at work, I don’t have time to blog much less read my fellow mummy bloggers' entries. Wah Wah Wah – I miss the Bloggers' Meet too Sob sob….I dunno bout it wor….

So here's some lil updates, Mr Chan (lou kong) went on company trip to Shanghai Wednesday nite and wont be back until Sunday. This is the first time he'll be apart from us for so long and seriously, I am abit scared to be alone with Aiden (plus the maid) for so many nights.

To top it off, Aiden fell off the bed (again!!) on Wednesday, just a couple of hours before Lou Kong left to the airport…aiyooo me so sakit hati... his forehead now has a blue black spot. I called my mum when it happened and she heard him shrieking in the background. So guess what happened? She appeared at our doorstep wihin the next 10 mins! (She lives on the next road). Talk about timing….. because Aitden woke up twice in the middle on the night, probably having nightmares due to the fall.

He's still on organic Rice Cereal (brand : Earth's Best) and now I mix either carrots, pumpkin, sweet potato with it. Gonna try out Spinach this weekend. Anyone got any other ideas on what 7 month old babies can eat? He's still a vegetarian because of his sensitive skin, so I dare not try scallop, ikan bilis (anchovies) or chicken yet.

Now Aiden no longer wants us to hold him nor wants his chut chut when going to sleep. He has this habit of rolling to the left then to the right (for about 10 mins) and with some gentle pat pat on his buttocks, he falls asleep. Also, when we try to give him his chut chut (previously he cannot sleep without his chut chut), he cries because he knows that it relates to sleeping. Nowadays, he will play until he is very very sleepy only then will he take his naps. I guess my lil boy is growing up.

Another funny habit is shouting and screaming. But this is not related to crying or being irritated. He loves to shout and shout for no reason. Aiyo *slaps forehead*, so embarrassing when we took him out to the restaurant last weekend. Any mummies out there facing the same thing with your 7 month old?

Mr Chan trying to get his son to become an accountant??? Oh NOOO.....

With his new car seat. He has outgrown his old baby carrier cum car seat

Jatuh bed again ah? Aiyoo.. I think Irfan has fallen like what? 4 times? Something like thatlah. And when I saw his paed yesterday, she said as long as he didn't vomit or was unconscious, it's nothing serious. Oh well, what to do? Anak lasak!

As for the screaming, well, we're in the same boatlah. Irfan will suka-suka scream and everyone will give us this look like as though we don't know how to jaga anak. Sigh. Very the malu-fying, ok? I certainly hope that he'll stop the screaming soon! Haha!

Jeremy just fell off the bed this morning as I was rushing to eat breakfast and sterilise his bottles at the same time *lol* He yelled a bit but didn't cry. When I picked him up, he acted like it never happened.

Foodwise, you can try celery, it is quite easy to mash once boiled.

Wow.. so fast on solids already.

Home alone? I'm also very worried every time hubby goes out for a trip..

If you are starting him on spinach, try to get organic ones..

Have you tried brocolli, cauliflower, apple, peaches, pears, etc to mix with his porridge? I used to steam these and them store them into ice cube for Zara.. Every meal, I just pop one cube of the steam veg/fruit and mix with her cereal.

The new car seat looks so comfortable for Aiden.

You can try brocolli, cauliflower, pumpkin or "yuen-choi" (dunno what in english) too.

hi, you can try to give Aiden asparagus, too.

I normally mix carrot, potatoes and brocolli with rice cereal. Sometimes, with pumpkin.

As for fruit, Malaika likes to eat pear, papaya, mango and of course banana.
