Bye Bye Mommie
May 09 2007, Wednesday
After having read the post by Shannon's mum, I was inspired to write this. Every morning, I have to face a grumpy crying baby when I drop him at my mum / in-law's home. He will usually grab and dig his fingers into my upper arm (ouch) at the same time kick his legs. When grandma carries him, he will then cry the manja cry for 10 secs or so before settling into a grouchy mood. I will then need to leave quickly or else he will pull out his hands and ask for me to carry him.So heartbreaking ya, and that's when I wish I did not have to leave to work.
On the flipside, I always look forward to coming home to him, as he will squeal, laugh whilst crawling towards me at the front door. When I carry him, he will continue to laugh and pat his hands with happiness. Somehow, it does not really work the same when Daddy comes home, but Aiden will usually greet daddy with a toothy smile and grab his tie/shirt button.
It really is a wonder to me these feelings that I have for Aiden and I guess no words can explain the unspoken joy and happiness a mummy will feel for her child.

Irfan will ignore me going to work in the mornings. Haha. But come evening, when he sees me, he know his time with his grandparents are up. He'd then ignore my parents or in-laws. Tsk tsk tsk...
mine will look forward to go to the nanny's ..*sigh*

guess there's a up and downside of it. I'm glad that my kids don't cry for me when I leave, at least I leave in peace
